Dr. Ayodeji Afolayan

Dr. Ayodeji F. Afolayan is a scholar with about several years of experience in academics and research. He obtained B.Agric.Tech. (Agricultural Economics and Extension) (2006) from Federal University of Technology, Akure Ondo State and M.Sc. (2012) and Ph.D. (2017) (Agricultural Economics) both from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife.
He is currently engaged with the Institute for Sustainable Development at the First Technical University, Ibadan, Nigeria as a researcher and lecturer. He is an Agricultural Economist with special interest in Resource and Environmental Economics, Agribusiness and Farm Management. Dr. Afolayan’s research is primarily aimed towards solving socio-economic problems.
He has conducted research with several organisations and institutions in agriculture and other economic sectors to achieve food security, agricultural productivity and poverty eradication. His collaborative research work has seen him work with both national and international institutions like the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, HarvestPlus and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
